The only time I ever used esquire is when some tool didn't know I was a lawyer
and tried to use the title to intimidate me into not collecting on an account he owed. He came up with some hack argument and then signed it esquire. I responded that he was wrong and we had already filed a suit against him, but invited him to make his same argument in court. I signed it esquire just to tweak him. He paid and never bothered me again.
