Do it!
I've been doing it for about a year. It's great. I haven't used a cartridge razor since I started. I won't go back. I basically get no razor burn now. I like the new creams, soaps, and aftershaves I use now.

There are a couple of things you should know, however. You probably won't save a ton of money by switching. You can, but you probably won't. You'll buy more creams, soaps, brushes, razors, etc. but you probably won't spend more money than you do now and it's more fun to shave this way.

Also, it does take longer to shave this way. I usually only shave a few times a week so I always do three relathers and passes, but it's still worth it to me.

Check out badgerandblade.com and watch some YouTube videos. Don't be too nervous at first. It can seem intimidating at first, but never have really cut myself. I get some nics now and then, but nothing worse than I had with cartridges. It's all about angle and not applying pressure.

Good luck if you decide to do it. Let me know if you have questions.
