Lawn care experts - is my lawn being eaten by bugs?
I re-did my back last year. Put in a new sprinkler system and new sod. It took root great and was nice and green. I watered it like the company (Emerald Turf) suggested and put down the fertilizer they suggested. Unfortunately the city turned off the water in August so it did get pretty dry. That with the very dry and somewhat mild winter I have a couple of dead spots that I know are from that. This year it has been fertilized using IFA's 4 step program.

I've noticed lately though that I have a wide strip of dark green grass and then a strip of about two feet wide of yellowish grass. As seen here freshly mowed:

Along with the yellow strip of grass there seems to be areas that are just flat out dying. Like here:

Parts of the dark green areas are starting to look like that and thin out. There has been more than enough water with all the rain we've gotten. A lot of the yellow/dying grass is over the areas where the trenches were dug for the pipes, so its not necessarily bad rooting/hard ground. The only thing I can think of is bugs eating it. I put down a couple bags of Bug B Gon last week. Should I rake it a little and put down seed? Should I put down some other stuff to get the bugs eating my grass?
