And yes there are professions who make more but several hundred thousand (I'm not talking about English professors) is pretty decent pay. And the question was also high pay with least stress. Professors can reach a point they can't get fired, they can travel the world, they get summers off, many of my professors pitched their students on the benefits of becoming a professor.
