BYU is becoming an elite academic institution. Was that intended?
The average kid can't get in anymore. They have expanded BYUI to make up for that, but how long until that is too crowded? Does this concern the Bretheren at all? They can't start new BYUs as the cost is too much. I thought the original intent was to provide a safe environment for LDS students to learn with like minded peers. Are they hoping institute will be a sufficient substitute?
