I'm interested to know how cancelling Ricks Football has affected recruiting in the upper-mormon belt.
Has the concentration of recruit talent, by removing Ricks, benefitted Weber State and Montana, Idaho State and Eastern Washington, which in turn has benefitted USU and Boise State?
Can we say that the church, by cancelling Ricks College's football program, has helped bring about Boise State and USU's rise in football?
I always thought BYU was going to get all of the LDS recruits that would have gone to Ricks, if they were good enough to play D1 ball, but I now realize that assumption was wrong.
Anyways, if there any good histories of Ricks Football, I would enjoy reading them.
