Let your prospective employer pay for a visit. Take your HCBW.
Do some homework and find some good wards. Visit them on Sunday to see if they meet your families needs.
I wouldn't dismiss it outright. Having lived in a number of places, I certainly have my favorites, but every place has had a lot of good.
If you want to only live where you were born and raised (more importantly if your HCBW has that mindset) probably not worth the trouble of investigating....
