intent to defect their existing conference, where are Bostonblue and Tuxedo Yoda with their statements? The passing of the deadline means, any school currently involved in a conference has to remain an additional year. They will have to notify their conference now by June 30th, 2016 of their intensions, unless they want to battle in court. We all know BYU can join a conference as a football member only with little or no financial burden. I do not know the covenants signed with each school other than BYU has an out if they join a P5 conference. I do not know if the individual contracts require BYU to notify the school they are cancelling by a specific date one or two years in advance, so that school can re-schedule accordingly.

I do know that the following was posted and the deadline for 2015 has past for other schools and perhaps even BYU for possible inclusion in 2016.

According to the man, the myth, the legend Tuxedo Yoda, there should be an official announcement from the Big12 any day now. I'm gonna miss indy.


We know expansion is coming. Expansion could take place tomorrow or in five years, but at some point it will take place. Whether expansion will include BYU, I can't say today. But I will say, I am tired of the misleading and false information being spread on the board. I don't know the source of information Tuxedo Yoda or even Bostonblue are relying on. It was probably thought to be reliable at some point. We (including myself) have all posted hear say only to regret it later.

This board should be fun. But at the same time as being fun, we should be better than purposely spreading falsehoods. Trolls will always exist as their purpose is to make others as miserable as themselves.

Perhaps we can add some additional "Select a Category" 1) Rumors, 2) Here Say, 3) Fact backed with sources, and 4) Troll.
