How is it that a player who was good enough to make an NFL roster as an undrafted free agent was hardly used at all by his college team, which has not exactly been overflowing with NFL talent lately?

Mahina must be ticked at BYU. It is clear now that the main reason he was not drafted is because he was so underutilized in college. This, at a school known for its tight ends. Players like Harline and Pitta and George were integral to our success in the mid-late 2000's. Mahina probably thought that he would come in and have that same type of role.
