I agree it was stupid to pour it on Max. I for one kept quiet about that situation. Addiction is horrible and it leads people to make awful choices.

I would not be at all surprised if Hatfield has some sort of addiction that led him to make these incredibly stupid choices. I also have a lot more sympathy for Hatfield than Hall. I have sympathy for both and hope that both get their lives back on track, but Hall came from a privileged upbringing. Hatfield escaped from a life of severe poverty and crime. He had to attend the funeral a friend that was murdered when he was 14. He probably saw multiple murders and crimes committed in his neighborhood. He was probably just turning to what he learned in his neighborhood growing up. It is an extremely sad situation.
