Change the filter and consider using a cheap but very pourus filter. You need good flow over the conderser and a dirty or overly restrictive filter will prevent the needed air flow to do that. Also Id go out to the outside unit and hose off the fins. If they are covered in dust they dont allow the proper cooling effect they are supposed to.
