Rope swings
Earlier peeps were joking about him missing the lake, all in good fun of course.

I've seen so many people get hurt from rope swings this isn't very surprising.

Growing up hanging out at Diversion Dam in Provo Canyon (before they cut down all the swings) you could easily tell who was going to fall.

Most of the time it was girls who severely underestimated how much strength it takes to hold their own weight through the different swinging phases/motions (descent, neutral, and ascent towards the apex of your swing). It was when the rope swing would start ascending they would lose their hold and plunge into the shallow 2-3 feet water. Often times breaking a leg on the hard, rocky river bottom.

Some people would freeze up when the swing would reach the apex 15-20 feet up and wouldn't let go heading back towards dangerous shallow waters, bushes, tree trunks, etc. Friend did this and slammed back into the tree breaking ribs and then falling back to earth breaking both wrists and leg.

Other people don't throw the rope away before letting go and get sever rope burns by getting legs wrapped up and caught on the fall back down.

Anyway, a lot of ways to get hurt from those things, we're lucky it wasn't worse.
