it had been frozen. I dethawed it.
Cooked it to 150. And put it on the grill and cooked it. Came out chewy and dry.

Possibly it was because of being frozen but the fact that it took so long to get to 150 was the main culprit.

Could have also been dry because the amount of poking the meat got.
