already have done so privately figuring he'll never actually make it to Provo...but the coach should stop making public statements of support. Guys don't habitually find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time on accident.

I'm not saying guys like West (or Hatfield) shouldn't get second chances...or third...or fourth... But those chances don't have to include the support of a football team like BYU which sees players get in more trouble over lesser things. It's not a consistent message, and BYU should move on.
