feel the same way. I've never been in that exact situation for that amount of money, but I've made decisions that made me less money than I otherwise could have made based on other factors such as enjoyment in my employment. So I can imagine if I were in his shoes, I could easily see wanting the ring more, especially if I and my kids are already set for life.
