I replaced the guts to my toilet. it does not have a leak on the outside

No water outside of toilet. But, my toilet tank, while just sitting there loses water.
Is it the wax seal under the toilet or am I just dumb with toilets?

It is not constantly running, no. The tank fills just fine, then slowly drains.

Flapper valve. Make sure you have right size. There are two major sizes.
