They all say they're not high on any potential expansion candidates for the B12. But if they had to pick, BYU is the best out there. Then they go on to say that BYU has quirks, is hard to work with, and rubbed people the wrong way the last time they were considered.

What does this all really mean? And how much is really true? And if their "support" for BYU is so lackluster, all the other candidates must be REALLY terrible.

Here's my best guesses:

Quirky = We don't play on Sunday

Hard to work with = We want to keep BYUtv

Rubbed People the Wrong Way = Let's have an honest discussion of pros and cons of us joining your conference. We're not going to concede everything to be a member of your conference that is currently the least stable of all the P5 conferences.
