Well something was amiss

do we know exactly what? No.

We just know BYU was negotiating for several weeks. Then the talks broke down. Then a few days later WVU and TCU received invites and accepted. Big 12 says BYU was difficult to negotiate with? Does those facts support that? It is a possibility. As are other scenarios.
