He scored somewhat regularly for ManU, but he never started. Always came on
as a sub in the 70th minute or so. Didn't really do much at Real Madrid.
He's not even in the same universe as guys like Pirlo or Kaka (guys who at one time both were legitimately among the top 5 players in the world), but if he can draw a lot of interest from Mexican fans, who knows. I'd be really surprised if they paid him upwards of $6-$7 million per year.
