Check Lavell's last 9 years against Utah...and Bronco's USU record.
Utah had already caught BYU under Lavell...and then Crowton...well...you know how that went.
And a couple of wins does not catching up make. Utah has had BYU's number for 20 years on the whole. You can call that enough data points...but they are still Utah. They are still a weak commuter school that stumbled into a conference because Larry Scott blew it.
But USU...yea...it takes a few more data points before I'd say they have caught up.
