Great in theory but it will never happen ...
... Too many dramatic changes in his scenario.
Off the top of my head and as an ASU fan, ASU would never voluntarily divorce itself from the California schools.
A large majority of out-of-state alums are in CA and it's biggest recruiting turf for all sports is CA.
There is no way ASU and Arizona allow Utah, BYU, and Colorado to be with the Pac-8 while they agree to join forces with the TX and OK schools. Never happen.
