I was up in the canyon one a beautiful evening about 20 years ago. I saw a strange light in the sky, heading in a fairly normal airplane like direction out towards the valley. It suddenly changed directions 90 degrees and went almost straight up in the sky without any apparent curve or bend. Just going one direction and then suddenly shooting off in another. I have no idea what it was, or what could do that.
