Big 12 will never do this because they are too reactive and lack imagination,
but this is what I would like to see them do:
Add: BYU, CSU, BSU, UNLV, Cincinatti and UCF.
Form 4 mini-divisions:
Mountain: BYU, BSU, UNLV and CSU
Texas: TCU, Texas, TT, and Baylor
Midwest: OU, OSU, KU and KSU
Eastern: WVU, Cinci, ISU and UCF
Adopt a 9 game conference schedule playing all three teams each year from your division plus and alternating 3 teams from each of the other 3 divisions. The conference championship game is played between the two highest ranked (as determined by the playoff committee) teams not in the same division.
Just my random musings.
