ESPN is currently paying BYU about $4-$8 Million a year.

The Big 12 TV contracts pay each school $20 Million a year.

When teams are added, the TV contract increases to maintain the per team payout.

Add two teams and the TV payout increases by $20 Million per team or $40 Million overall.

ESPN and Fox split the Big 12 contract so ESPN would be upping the contract by $10 Million per team or $20 Million overall.

Increase of $10 Million a year is not a savings over the $4-$8 Million a year that ESPN is currently paying BYU.
