Adding BYU to the BIG 12 could save ESPN money
If ESPN pays BYU $4-8mm per year, and it would pay 2 expansion teams $20mm each per year- then if it were to add BYU and one other team, they'd be paying $44mm to $48mm per year. Adding BYU and 1 other would cost them a total of $40mm per year. That's a savings of $4mm to $8mm per year.
