When you add up all the checks that ESPN writes to college entities, the total
amount of money spent will be higher with BYU in the Big 12 rather than independent. That's all I was saying. You can play all the accounting games you want, but it doesn't change the fact that ESPN pays more money in a year to college entities with BYU in the Big 12 than they do with BYU independent.
