I would cheer for BYU no matter what.
Our glory days occurred in the WAC. We have good years ahead of us no matter what our affiliation.
Tangentially, I really don't like independence and if the day comes when we know we will not be in a P5, I would prefer forming a new, best of the rest conference. I would even prefer the MWC over indy long term.
