I know I am in the minority here on CB, but I think CSU would be a good BIG12 addition with BYU. I'm confident that FC and a large portion of Denver would embrace and rally around the Rams. The school and northern Colorado have tons of potential if they had a reason to get excited.
Finally, some have called FC a "cow town". One reason was that the stadium was located outside of the city and next to a rodeo arena. Whenever visitors came to the games, they only saw Hughes Stadium and the arena. FC has been having a growth burst for the past 15 years. It is far from a cow town.
Ames is nice, but no FC.
Manhattan is also a nice little college town. I interviewed for a KSU job there several years ago. My wife would've hated Manhatten - too small and not close enough to a larger city.
