BSU, CSU, UCF, USF, and even BYU are and should be scrutinized for longevity. BYU has some long history. The other schools have some recent history but what happens when you flip the model and you no longer play 8 cupcakes a year? What happens to BSU when they have to play and recruit on a Big boy level? It has got to be a consideration. Can they draw a program after they join the conference or will they be perenial bottom dwellers ala ISU, Kansas, Duke (football), Colorado, Illinois etc. My guess is that 4 losing seasons of football would crush BSU. I think that BYU would struggle for a bit but I'm biased. The point being then what does the conference do with a bum program? So I think it is something to consider. We can't all be above average.
