It's pretty frustrating. Hopefully this year he'll find some consistency. I don't expect the defense to lock down every team we play, but we went from letting a few games get out of hand here and there ala Utah 2011, to last year where it became more of the norm then the exception. Whether it was Howell, the players not watching enough film, the loss of Taysom and the prospective undefeated season that made the players less inspired, any of those reasons ultimately fall on Bronco. Seems like from the fan perspective we've long since passed the point where Bronco needs to put up or shut up, hopefully now the administration is at that point too. If BYU competes every game and we lose some tough ones, I have a hard time getting out my Bronco pitch fork, but when Boise just abused us last year and Nevada and USU and the bowl game and on and on then it's just clear it's gotten away from Bronco. This will be a huge test for him this year.
