Well, a backhoe pulled up this morning and started digging in the empty lot next
door. 7:00 a.m. shotgun start (meaning he disembarked the semi at about 6:40 a.m.)
A bulldozer cleared it yesterday, so we knew something was happening. We were looking forward to living on a quiet culdesac for a while. That lasted all of 2 weeks.
My wife saw the landowner out there this afternoon and decided to go introduce herself. This is the most interesting part. It turns out it's a small Amish family of 4 moving from an 800 sqft home. They are building a 3300 sqft home on .75 acres. He took the opportunity to warn my wife that they expect to have LOTS of family over EVERY weekend.
Oh boy.
