As long as we are mentioning self-sacrifice for the greater good...
I must confess that I have cheered for the Utes exactly one time in my life: the 1998 National Championship Game vs. Kentucky. All through that tournament I had cheered against them, even cheering for Miles Simon and Arizona (which was difficult for me to do), but had watched them beat the likes of Arkansas, Arizona, and North Carolina. I finally decided I could jump on the bandwagon for a single game against Kentucky and they lost.

This begs the question: would it be worth it to cheer for the Utes, if by doing so, you ensured that they never won again?
