It really is a shame that the Big 12 didn't go west from the beginning.
Immediately bringing in BYU could have stabilized some conference fallout. Not all, but some. CSU could have easily replaced Colorado. It may have made the B12 seem more stable and send the the SEC looking into Florida, Virginia, NC etc... for partners; although aTm sure seemed eager to give Texas the finger and Mizzou really wanted out.

I would have loved to see the Big12 snag BYU, CSU, UNLV and SDSU. It would have given the Big 12 bigger and better expanding markets. That's a pipe dream though.

Attempting to be unbiased, the Big12 was beyond foolish for not grabbing BYU and Louisville when they had the chance.
