According to Bill Snyder and other Big12 coaches WVU called before everything
Was finalized with other conference moves and organized at least 5 teams who would agree to form a new conference if the Big12 imploded. When the dust settled and the Big 12 was down 4 teams and WVU was homeless those four Big12 coaches/administrators repaid the foresight and repaid WVU gesture by clicking for them and lobbying for thirty inclusion in the Big12.
WVU' S administrators were simply more proactive then ours and it paid off. Have to think it also hurt BYU' s chance because of geography.
