Given the rut BYU football has been in for the past 5 years, I'm not sure I'd

just give the coaches the benefit of the doubt in how to recruit. Especially when Martzen personally saw how...
1) ...a perennial national contender recruits and operates in Alabama, and
2) ...a small-town, yet overachieving mid-major power finds diamonds-in-the-rough in Boise State
