If he wasn't any good then why did BYU and other schools like Butler...
Texas A&M and Miami offer him?
And as Oxcoug said Bryant has already proven himself at the D1 level, that's why we and other schools wanted him. As has been pointed out, he was the freshman of the year in the conference he was in.
And personally I think Bailey is over rated, but it's also not pick one or the other. Bailey doesn't appear to have much interest in BYU.
