Independence is unsustainable, if we want to keep up with the P5. TH was blunt in that regard.

Last summer Bronco pleaded with the Big 12 to invite BYU. Whatever happened or didn't happen in 2011 is not germane to our current situation. The BYU administration wants to get into the Big 12.

Dysfunctional as it is and unstable as it might be, the Big 12 is our only chance to get into a power conference. Without membership in the Club we will become increasingly less relevant

If there is another great realignment and the P5 become the P4, only some members of the defunct P5 will be absorbed by the P4 but no outsider will get in.
