same experience with my online classes. The range in quality of students is much larger in online classes. Some are working professionals who do great work and are very successful in class, while others have to repeat it multiple times as they don't have the motivation to keep themselves on track. Not surprised at all that the graduation rate is so low. I would love my past three university employers to drop their online programs, but they are a cash cow to administrators. There is no way they will close them down willingly as they get tuition repeatedly for students retaking classes.
