The new and improved post spring depth chart
Since there's nothing else to legitimately discuss, I thought I'd post about some subtle but perhaps interesting changes to the post, post spring depth chart, just published in the almanac. There are some interesting changes to it, and honestly it is closer to what I expected the first post-spring depth chart to be.

I realize that BYU is about to enter fall camp, and honestly the only depth chart I really care about is the one posted the first week of Sept, but here are the updates.

SLB: from Sae Tautu (or) Fred Warner to Fred Warner (or) Teu Kautai
MLB: from Austin Heder (or) Harvey Langi to Harvey Langi (or) Austin Heder
BLB: from JLD (or) Manoa Pikula to Manoa Pikula (or) JLD
WLB: from Sione Takitaki Troy Hinds (or) Tyler Cook to Sione Takitaki (or) Sae Tautu

I don't know if it means anything, but it does seem like there are perhaps some motivational games going on with respect to the depth chart especially with the LB's. Nothing has happened since spring except for academic results and perhaps summer workouts.

I know Hinds is redshirting, but it is interesting to me that another one was published at all before fall camp. Was the first depth chart published as a sort of a reward for good spring performances by some? Did something change in the interim with workouts, discipline or academic standing? Interesting questions for which we likely won't have answers and that frankly probably may not matter much. I do think that the updated depth chart will probably more closely reflect the LBs coming out of fall camp.
