This is probably exactly right. It leads me to believe the problem is not with

Development, but with the athletes available for the coaches to develop.

It's just too bad we haven't been able to land more elite LDS athletes. It would be nice to see what BYU could do with elite athletes that have already played football for at least a couple years.
