I agree that both teams being 9-3 means 2 top 20 teams but neither in NY6
It obviously depends on who you lose to and when you lose, but odds are a 9-3 Utah team will be ranked around 15 while a 9-3 BYU would likely be ranked just a few spots lower. That could change as well depending on how well the teams we each play end up performing. We do have 3 common opponents in Michigan, UCLA, and Fresno State. A 9-3 BYU probably ends up in Vegas. However, a 9-3 Utah team will probably won't be in Vegas since Vegas takes the #6 team from the P-12 (and if a P-12 team makes the playoff this year then Vegas gets the #7 team) and a 6-3 record in the Pac-12 will likely put them higher than that. Likely the only way BYU and Utah play each other in Vegas is if Utah goes 8-4 or 7-5.
