What you think will happen in the preseason doesn't always happen
Admittedly, though, the competition for best conference division isn't all that intense:
The B12: no divisions, so not even in the running.
The ACC: Yeah, right.
The B10: I'm sure Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Maryland, Rutgers, and Minnesota are all gonna breakout and have great seasons.
The SEC East: All teams still have too many weakness. A lot of solid teams, but no strong ones.
So, sure, the PAC South is in a good position to nab one of those top two spots. However, never count on a PAC team to not suck.
