The MWC made a mistake being unwilling to renegotiate TV & money with BYU

Boise State came to the MWC precisely because they got a special TV deal where their rights were sold separately from the existing MWC contract and they got to keep the lion's share of that money. Had the MWC been willing to work out a similar deal with BYU, chances are that BYU would have stayed in the conference.
