If your son did any extra-curriculars and doesn't botch the application, I'd bet

money he gets in. This is based on 10 years ago, though, so I could be off. My buddy got in with around the same GPA (I think it was a little lower, actually) and a lower ACT. He was student body president, though, so that probably bumped him up a little. Being from outside of Utah definitely helps, though.
