Watched first part of Nebraska vs The U (yes THE U, not the fake U) last year:
A few thoughts:
- Very glad that Ameer Abdullah is gone. His speed/quickness/strength would have given BYU fits. All he needs is a sliver to sneak through and could take any touch to the house. Don't know anything about their RBs this year.
- Same goes with DE Randy Gregory. Guy had a serious pass rush (went #60 in 2015 NFL draft as a Junior). They have a few other guys, but he was the best.
- Armstrong had some good throws. Given time I think he has enough ability to find the open guy. Not as good under pressure. He is dangerous with his feet but I think we have decent speed at OLB to keep him in check.
- Nebraska defense looked suspect at times, but I think Miami has more overall speed than BYU. Miami was able to score on the first drive of the game, and BYU will need to do the same to set the tone.
