I am not against constuctive criticism; it has saved me and put me on course many times. I would note that those critics had a true vested interest in me. I'm grateful for people not afraid to speak the truth.
Regarding the various ranges of criticism I've seen here, a few thoughts:
Everyone on here knows the players and coaches names, what they do, their flaws and weaknesses, etc. Do they deserve at least a level playing field with their critics? Would the critics be so bold and confident if we all knew their names, occupations and their current circumstances; if their real name stood next to the comments? Then there would be accountability.
That begs a sincere question (not a criticism) - if you are not a member of the cougarclub (that can be $60/yr) or a donor of some sorts, specifically to athletics, do you really have skin in the game? Any fan is emotionally invested yes, but do they have a justified platform to offer criticism that's worth more than two cents?
