Cougar Nation has been unbelievable to our family. I received so many wonderful private chats from Cougarboard. Thank you!

BYU athletics sent us a box full of BYU stuff (balls, signed pylon, blanket, stuffed animals, shirts, autographed pictures, etc...).

The Nevada winner of the BYU box last year dropped it off at our house.

BYU is getting tickets for our family to the home game of our choice.

Craig Cusick sent me a message to pick a home basketball game and he will get us tickets and show our family around.

Many BYU faculty, athletes and former athletes sent photo's holding up 3 fingers or messages for us. In fact, I had many people (non BYU fans included) come up to me and say it is unbelievable how BYU has reached out to our family, and that no other university would do this much. One buddy who does not like BYU said his kids are coming up to him and asking him to buy them BYU gear, and another buddy said this has made him start to like BYU a little bit.

So many more people reached out to us that I can't remember them all right now.

The start of the season is bitter sweet. At 3 years of age Austen started watching every BYU basketball and football game with me. It won't be the same, but I will enjoy the games with my other boys. We never know, maybe Austen will get special permission from his mission president (Joseph Smith) to take some time off and join us for a game or 2
