I hear that you should make sure it is at least room temp before you grill it so that you don't burn the outside trying to cook the inside.
It's one of those Costco tri tips all vacuum packed and pre marinated. I've taken it our of the fridge and put it in some warmish water while we are at church from 1 to 4.
My wife says this is too long out of the fridge.
