I've found that my traditional airline miles program is way better for last min
trips but my southwest miles are almost always cheaper if I schedule in advance. Just needed to change a trip on SW that would have cost me 50k miles to reschedule. Got it done for 12.5k miles on delta and just refunded half of my southwest trip. I guess it's good to not keep all my eggs in the same basket.
