Oil pressure guage drops and sits @ zero & then is quite erratic on old GMC van.

My first guess is the switch, anything else I should consider before replacing that? (Please let it not be the oil pump).

Probably just the switch. A buddy of mine had the same issue on his pickup.

Yep. The switch is clearly wrong and he was cursed for it.
